Saturday Snacks...

This is an awesome recipe that we use for baby showers, family snacks, etc. Sometimes we don't drizzle on the chocolate for times sake, but if you prefer that fattening, sweet, sugary, healthy chocolate... then go right ahead! Just kidding!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chocolate Chex Caramel Crunch

8 cups Chocolate Chex Crunch
( You can get that at Wal-Mart or Kroger.
But make sure it is the Chocolate Chex! )

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

6 Tbsp. butter

3 Tbsp. light corn syrup

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 cup white vanilla chips

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1. Into large microwave bowl, measure ceral; set aside. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper.

2. In 2-cup microwave measuring cups, microwave brown sugar, butter and corn syrup uncovered for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until melted and smooth. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Pour over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave for 3 minutes stirring every minute. Spread on cookie sheet. Cool for 10 minutes. Break into bite-sized pieces.

3. In small microwave bowls, microwave chips until melted. ( obviously seperate! )
Drizzle over snack. Store in an air tight container. Then... enjoy!

Not screaming like the passengers in his car."

Theatrical Thursday...

Welcome one and all!
Thanks you all so much for visiting out blog!
Here is an update on our addition.

It was a beautiful day when we decided to put up some of the siding on our addition.

Here is the inside of the addition. Back where Elijah is standing, will be our little craft room. Then the bigger part will be our living room. I can't wait to have people over again!

Lucas came over and helped get a lot of stuff done.

Working hard... I think.

The mud-room will be where the open door is. That'll be nice to have somewhere to put all our muddy shoes! Right now most of them get stuck in the kitchen until they dry! Yuck!

Joshybud!

Well, please pray that it'll get done fast! We can have people over as soon as it's finished! We did get up lots of wiring and insulation after these pics were taken. But, these are some of the only good ones we got. So, hope you enjoyed the update. Thanks!

It's one of our favorites!

Youth Conference...

Our annual Youth Conference went very well, and we saw two people saved and we pray that many lives were changed, dedicated to Christ and gotten right with the Lord. Bro. Dan Carr from Mississippi came with his family to preach and he's a great guy! He's also here for our revival this week and yesterday another person was saved. Tonight's the last night and I can't wait to see what he has to preach. Hope you enjoy the pics. They are just a little peak into what we did.

We had some good specials... this being one of them.

Girls and guys ate separate so they guys could hear and man to man talk from Jason Barnes (the guy that came and did the skits for us) and so that the girls could hear the Thompson girls speak. It was really nice and I enjoyed it.

Here's the guys eating. Don't worry. I didn't stay in there the whole time. I took pics because Bro. Bryant requested it. Lol!

The ladies of our church are great servants!

Mrs. Peters... the brain behind the kitchen stuff! Mrs. Hockaday helps too! Lol...

My friend and partner in crime... Jordan! Just kidding about the partner in crime.

Kaylen just kinda hung out.

Mr. McCormick had some awesome gloves!

Marissa Thompson. These girl's husbands were thrown into jail 6 years ago for spanking a boy from their church. They are serving worse sentences than some murderers or rapists serve.

This is Hannah Thompson. I really enjoyed hearing these girl's awesome testimonies and seeing how faithful they still are to God. He is really teaching them so much through this trial. The theme of our youth conference went along well with their testimonies.

Standing Against All Odds

Stand in the Battle

We had some funny skits!

This was part of one of the skits... you'd have to be there in order for it to be funny!

Bro. Carr is a great man of God and he has really taught me a lot from God's Word these past few days.

Happy Birthday Party...

October 9th was Elijah's birthday, but we celebrated a day early because of Youth Conference. He really enjoyed the presents that he got. He's so much fun to watch as he opens them.

A Thomas the Train Puzzle!

Ohhhh... what's this?

This dog sings "Do Your Ears Hang Low" while flapping it's ears up and down. Elijah loved it!

Papa helping Elijah open his present.

He picked out a fishy birthday cake, so Jenny made it for him. It was really cute!

Blow!

Wow... classic family shot!

So... Jen smeared frosting on my nose!!

But don't worry. I got her back!

Haha! Gotcha!

Wiping off our messes...

Elijah got a lot of snakes, frogs and lizards!

We can't forget about Kaylen!

Here are some adorable pictures of Elijah, two days before his birthday. He wouldn't cooperate too well, but he was still cute! I love him soo much!
Here he is doing his "monkey-ears".
( Britt taught him that one! )
